In 1989, it's the same car I have today and have had since 1980 - a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500.

None of these three are particulary HAMB-friendly, but the CJ5 had a lovely LT1 (the 370hp edition), so it was kind of a hot rod. The EC was absolutely deadstock 300hp/M20, and the Vette was 350hp.

In between Alaska stints and didn't have a hot rod at the time. Sorry

Ive been driving the same Toyota pickup for 24 years......
People would prolly just **** themselves if they saw me drive up in something else. Its just a part of me..My wife told me I could get a new truck about 6 years ago, but I havent seen anything I like as well as my old yota.

I graduated in 88 was driving a 41 Chevy Tudor sedan, 350/4speed, maroon with chrome reverses................sold it to go to school and bought a K car, I obviously needed an education.

Car is still around, last time I saw it, it was around Mexico Mo.

    In 1988 I drove a 1963 Ford 300 (Poor Man's Galaxie) 2dr with a 460 V8 and stock 1955 Dodge Coronet 4dr Sedan. I miss both cars to this day.

Same car I have today, and had been driving it since 1976, or 12 years, then! '48 Pontiac convert, then powered by the Caddy 472 that's now in my '36 "Fordillac". The Pontiac is now motorvated by an LT1 :)eek::D)/4L60E, but has the same top :)eek:), paint, chrome and gl***.

Also had, at that time, a 56 Caddy radical custom convert, and a '41 Chev phantom convert sedan, which I wish I had a picture loaded in the computor of!

1987 Monte Carlo Aerocoupe. This is the model that Nascar used back then with the big sloping back window. Remember Dale Earnhardt's yellow and blue number 3? That's the one. That car had a 305 in it that was under powered for the car at bottom end but, upwards of 105 that baby was glued to the road. I met the present owner, who had replaced the 305 with a 350. That's the way the car should have come from the factory, especially based on the price I paid for it. I'm thinking about trying to buy it back but I don't know cuz I now have the model A as you all know there's no comparison to folks like us. Next!!

In 1989 I turned 16 and drove a 1954 GMC hydromantic pickup as my first car, I drove it for 4 years, till my sister learned to drive and totaled it.

I bought my Norton in 1967. It was a daily driver for 12 years and then slowly evolved into a racer. It holds the cl*** record at Bonneville and El Mirage and this year its going back to Bonneville.

  24. A total piece of **** running '84 Corvette.
Leaked oil and coolant like a sieve, over-steered on the highway at anything over 60 MPH, ate tires for lunch and dinner, and filled up with rain every time it was left outside. It just plain tortured me.
Dumped it one fine spring day and went out and bought a '36 Ford coupe for twice what I sold the ****py Vette for.
    Best decision I ever made!

( The '36 is probably worth 7 or 8 times more than what a ****ty hi mileage '84 Crossfire Corvette is worth today.)
