The way it was worded to me was it (Portland Rod and Custom Show) was taking a year off. Possibly Jason is trying to keep some value to it while he attempts to sell it? I had also heard that it went back to Dan Cyr, who started it and then sold it to Jason. Same with the Seattle show I read. so maybe just on hiatus?? The economy is settling out lots of things some good, some inevitable, some that are unfortunate.
The Portland Roadster Show is still on - the first, the best, the real thing!! :)

Excellent observation. It's called karma I think. Didn't he start all those shows and buy the GNRS and others with money obtained by suing the Multnomah Hot Rod Council and the Portland Roadster show? The rest is - in more ways than one - history. So it goes. :D

I always wondered how two big shows in the same venue a few weeks apart could both draw top cars and draw enough spectators to show a profit.

Portland was always a favorite for Jean and I to go to and the choice of shows was usually determined by what cars were going to be on display at each.

The last time we went there were way too many filler cars and the 1000 or so mouth breathing idiots lined up three wide waiting to get an autograph from some masked pro wrestler ruined the whole thing for us. I don't even remember if it was the Roadster show or the Rod and custom show now.
