whats this motor mount for ?

    i though it was chevy ,but what frame does it go on? it,s too wide to fit the old flathead mounts

    it most likely had some kind of frame mounts and that saddle attached to them .. like the Hurst set up

    how long/wide is it ?

    Mount is for 55-62 Corvette. The later ones have a crescent notch in the top to clear a byp*** fitting on the top of the waterpump.

    obviously Corvette. You'll note that the way the mount is fabricated, the engine is designed to sit DOWN in the ch***is, much lower than any p***enger car mount. Most Hurst mounts (and others) went under the crank snout/timing cover - this one goes over - look under the hood of any early straight axle Vette - this is what you'll see.

    it,s 2ft long, and after looking this over better, it looks like it should mount under the crank pully. also it is pretty heavy.

    Just went out and checked the 57 - looks just a bit different, but just can't be anything else.

    for sure chevy but not corvette they mount between the waterpump and block dont think i have ever seen a stock mount like that probably aftermarket
