Anybody have any leads on shipping from Europe? I am trying to get some fenders from the UK to CA and am only finding astronomical rates!
    Thanks

Plenty of shippers and...Plenty of shippers with no business. The cost of shipping in containers has been dropping since last september . Drive a deal and speak with as many 'freight forwarders' as you can find in the phone book.

When shipping large items like this back from left to right across the Atlantic, most guys here will try and find someone who already has a shipment container with a car/truck or parts already in it and the contribute a bit to the cost in exchange for some space in the container.

You might make enquiries with US Companies that source British and European cars like Jags, MG's and sports cars for US customers, now the $$ is stronger again (or the £££ is weaker), the money is in buying European stuff rather than bringing American cars back in this direction. Worth a look I'd have thought. Shipping those fenders seperately would be a killer.

  6. depends on the size...instead of trying to get a quote from uk to cali, look at the options of uk to east coast....i have had fairly good luck at rates for shippping out of neitherlands and france to usa...including the new nose section for Lil Beast..that was thru the postal system...it's the white peice in my avatar...
