Yes Folks, it's time to start planning to make the trip to the Annual MidWest HAMB-B-Q on Saturday April 25th.

This year we will meet at the Valley Cafe in Marquette KS on Saturday morning, grab some breakfast, and then head to the Kansas Motorcycle Museum. Then we will motor over to Abilene KS to Brown Memorial Park for some BBQ and other eats.

After some lazy car oriented conversations we will jet to Kuntz's Drive-In in Abilene for some choc malts etc. Then on down to the Rancho del Sweet for more grub and Movies On The Barn (tm).

Hotel accomodations may be reserved at the Diamond Motel in historic Abilene. Or you may fight over the shop couch at my place. Bring your RV or tent for the budget minded and set up on my lawn, just watch out for those pesky chickens laying eggs on your sleeping bag.

Last year was the best ever, and again I want to thank all those that helped out.

I look forward to seeing everyone again!!!

I gotta mark the calendar. Is the park kid friendly...i.e. is there a playground? Hell even a rope swing off a tree would suffice.

Yes. The park is kid friendly, there is an older style playground on the way in. There is even a Nature Trail!

The kids will LOVE Kuntz's also!!!!

I once saw Jay Sweet bend a wishbone around a tree. He drops his own axles by hand. One time he had a flat on an impala so he just punched a hole in the ground under that axle. I have seen him in the middle of a ghetto with a chocolate shake and a prostitute wouldn't even look at him.

Last time I was hanging out with Jay Sweet he was like "There's a utility pole up the road that doesn't fit the cut of my jib." Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

Hamb-b-q!!! what can I say? I'll be there.... without the cooper! long live the Hamb-B-Q!

What is all this betting that Kerry will do something to get some attention? He always makes it home, I think that he plans all this out, he has the repair planned long before he leaves home. How else do you explain having the right size feeze plugs, and also throwing off a blower pulley and being able to fix it just as the hardware store is closing? and ......

You are a ruler Kerry. Keep that poncho motoring..

Wow I'm surprised how many people from Kansas there are on here. I've been reading the HAMB for a while now but I never paid attention to where all everyone was located.

My dad and I will make out to see everyone's stuff, unfortunately we don't have a hot rod of our own to bring but it sounds like a good time anyway.
