Faifield "was" a beautiful little town until the gurus got there. That town looks like it has been ****d. So sad. Graduated in 61 got out as soon as I could. The town squares look alike thats for sure.

I grew up in the Fairfield area too (Richland). Been to Gulfport more than once. We used to party at the Pzazz in Burlington and hit Gulfport after 2am.

Anywhere along the river is good. I haven't been to Burlington, Nauvoo, Ft.Madison in forever.... Mt.Pleasant / Salem might be good, just because it's where 218 and 34 cross.

 

Im down for middle April or anytime in May but if we wait till May it'll be too close to Rust Revival (Breeders house party).

And River front would be freaking sweet, Davenport has a great area but if we are going more south then Onelow its on you, you are the thinker here.

 

Like the one on the bluff side of the road with the scenic overlook you have to be part mountain goat to climb? Usually isn't too busy and had plenty of paved parking as I recall. The rest of the roadside parks were pretty much gravel and sand. There's a pretty good size park in Nauvoo proper too but they'd probably frown on open alcohol there if anyone was so inclined, the roadside parks down river would probably be safe.

I don't know...... the Davenport cops used to be pretty hard *** to us Illinois guys. We got ******ed back to the Centennial Bridge a time or two and we weren't "doin' anything wrong". Honest, my foot slipped off the clutch pedal!

 

Im gonna take a spin down by nauvoo in the next few days to pick out a good roadside park and we can go from there. Everybody cool with that? PoPo? LOL

 

dunno man....what about big muddys in burlington? its on the river front, and we can drink there without involving the IL unhappy state police!~!
i mean hell, if your pickin a roadside park by navoo..your only 10 miles from my house! we could just have a big fuggin party bbq here at that point!!!

and I'm down for anything, wouldnt mind trying the truck out on another road trip, **** my last one only made it 10 miles and had to be trailered home, damn ****** line broke loose.

With this many of us this close, I'd say the chances are good of something "popping up".

 

doing it during the swap meet would be better! that way i cant go to CR and spend money!!! and yeah, i have lil ones, so that weekend wont work for me either!!!

Im shooting for the CR swap meet also, my mom will be coming back in town from CO but its good enough reason for me to get out of town for a few hours. maybe she can watch my kid while I go also, shoot maybe the wife will go too!!!

Anyone have any info on the swap meet, I am determined to go this year!

im down big muddy is good we need a damn hooters in burlington. let me know when ill take some vacation days for this but i dont think the car will be done by then onelow34 will push me there might have to get rid of the vicegrip steering wheel and put some thing else on a john deere steering wheel will work
