Have you called Lant & Co Insurance Brokers?-- They are able to provide coverage in Canada, and we recommend them to our friendly Canadian neighbors. They can be reached at 905-640-4111 or 800-461-4099. Tell them Grundy sent you! :D http://www.lant-ins.ca/

Can you elaborate on that? Maybe you can clear up a misconception. I've been told that if I insure through Grundy, and I visit the dragstrip even once, that's grounds for canceling the policy and/or denying claims. True or false? I can completely understand not being covered while I'm actually racing, and I'm fine with that. Let's say someone rear-ends me at a stoplight just after I leave the track. Am I covered?

(I'm not talking about a full-on race vehicle here...asking about a mostly-street car that might see a few trips to the track each year.)

Hey you're my insurance lady! :) I've insured all my cars via Grundy!

Anyone have any stories where they've come thru for theft, accidents, or vandalism? I'm curious to see them in action when it hits the fan.

My story is I don't qualify for Grundy because we don't have a garage.
Even though it's inside 3 locked acres, has an expensive alarm system, not visible from the street, late model European laser side-cut keys, and many other security features.

With the economy the way it is, I'm not stepping up to a garage for a while.

There should be policies available for folks like my wife and I.

Hi, Pat-- Just buzzed Chuck Wasoski, an underwriter, here. He said that statement about cancellation is completely false. We will insure a vintage racecar, but not on the track. He said that if someone rearends you afterward, you are fully covered with us. Hope that helps!

    Grundy covers my "collection" also.
    Great customer service, and prices.
Hopefully, I will be adding the 29 Dodge Coupe before too long.

Grundy is great! All my old cars and trucks are with Grundy and even the wife's 06 Charger Daytona. They do late model specialty cars as well!

I'm looking around at collector's insurance, as I got a couple cars I want to get off of full coverage State Farm insurance, and into more appropriate collector car coverage.

Now why is it that being 22, I am S.O.L. when it comes to getting collector car insurance? I've been building cars with my dad since I was 13, and in the past few years, I've built quite a few show cars on my own. I've turned junkyard cars into show cars, I can make a 50 year old car run like new, I can make a car shine like no other, but when it comes to insuring these cars, I'm not qualified?

Sorry to sound a little grouchy. This is my one hot topic with the car hobby. It's hard to get kids even younger than me when insurance is outrageous.

BTW, I've got 2 non-classic daily drivers... my classic cars don't see over 2k miles a year combined.

  11. My policy with State Farm is up at the end of March. I am going to go with Grundy.
$400 every 6 months for something that sits in the garage most of the time? I'm done. It's Grundy for me.
    I got a quote for $260 a year with a $100.000.00 coverage unlike State Farms $25,000.00 at $800 a year.
I wonder if I can insure my house too? I never drive it to work...:D
