Pooh A short profile for this first timer. I grew up in Speedway In. 5 blocks from the Indpls. Motor Speedway. My parents housed race teams for the 500 the entire month of May. Starting In 1946 when I was 2 yrs old.I have alwalways been into cars. The race teams that came to Speedway for the month brought a lot of cool rods and customs to use during their stay. Some of the mechanics were Bruce Crower,Dave Schneider , Dwight Ozzie Ozbourn, Jack and Art Christman, Marty Moore , Bob {little axle }Stewart,Irmy Imersio. I also worked for the I.M.S. fire crew for 25 yra and am a member of the 500 old timers. I am currently one of the guys that hangs out and works on traditional rods at Bubbas Hot Rod Shop here in INDY. Don't have a rod of my own but really enjoy helping all the guys at the hot rod shop build.
Welcome...with all those credentials, you could build a helluva "Indy rod"..I can see it now, a T roadster with an old Offy 4 banger and indy tires.
