[PROJECT] Laidout53

  1. Well finally got it outside with the bed on. also got the wood floor made tonight (no pics yet). hope to get it fitted tomorrow and then i can start to stain/seal it.

  3. Love the work you are doing on your truck. I also have a 53 and just got done chopping the top and am presently suiciding the doors. It will rest on a dakota ch***is. Is see you live in Wa. So do I. Would love to maybe meet sometime and check out each others stuff. Bud

    i cant wait to see the wood bed. I have been collecting ideas as I want something different, not just a bought wood kit. I'll make the final decision in May when I actually complete it.

  8. Well heres a sneak peek at the wood floor me and my grandpa made on sunday. still have to drill the mounting holes and stain/clear it.....then mount the gas tank.

    No more pictures tell its done, hopefully ill be driving it on saturday (weather pending)

    Your truck looks great! I am working on an old Studebaker that I hope turns out half as good as yours! Gotta love the off brand trucks!

  11. Well got the floor stained, cleared and installed as well as hooked up the gas tank... ready for it's drive tomorrow.

    Wow.... that looks great!!!! Nice job!

    Now you get another pair of front fenders that put the same opening on the rear fenders!

    I think I know where some are? Let me know if you're interested, maybe we could just cut out the lip enough to graft onto your rear fenders!

    I like i man, I was hoping you were going to do something pretty wicked with the wood, but a nice sheet of plywood is just as well. Great work and I still think the bags are cool!
     
  21. its not a piece of plywood, theres nine pine boards there. ill get some better ones tomorrow if the weather nice.

    Pm me a price and a picture so i can see them, not going to body work for awhile but im interested in them....

    oh ok, Must be snugged up nice and tight, I just figured it was the plywood that they cover the "good" side with real thin strips of nicely grained wood.

    Looking forward to a ton more pics man.

  25. Well at the swap meet on saturday i bought some starburst hubcaps, finally put them on. Also when out for a short drive to get some pictures. still need to have the exhaust done.

    Sunburst caps, huh? Liked the other combo a bit better....but who gives a **** what I think, it's your truck. Good work on the build, looking real nice.
