HI All, This is my winter project. I had the car almost 10 years and now is the time to get it done. Started pulling it apart on Feb. 7th 2009 and as of today Feb. 14th 2009 I have the entire body off, The old Torque tube rear end out, The old front suspension out and a new Heidts IFS is in with coil overs and 2" drop spindles. A buddy of mine wants to "help" chop the top a few inches but I'm a little hesitant to let him. Anybody ever chopped a '51 chevy deluxe? Anybody want the stuff I'm taking off? Cheap and I'm located in Sheboygan Falls, WI. This project is going very well, Makes me wonder why I didn't do it years ago... If the rest of the project goes as good as it started I should be able to have it ready for cruisen time. ( Probably will not show it but just drive it ) Any ideas or suggestions, I'd like to hear from you... Thanks, KEV.....

ask your buddy how may he's chopped first before you let him have the sawz-all. that car looks pretty clean if it is i would have a pro chop it. check the vendor section on here. looks like your on a good start keep it up

We have never chopped a top before. I figure if I can weld and run the saw he's the body man and can finish it up and make it look sweeet. he's already working with the hood, He's going to drop the front a "little" (I'm not sure how much that means..) I'm pretty sure we are going to chop it, but with our schedules we won't ba able to start until March... If I chop it I'm thinking 3-4 inches but no more.. ( Unless the saw (oops) slips.....)
