As far as the doors go,the pieces you slice out of the door frames are the pieces you splice into the door frames to elongate them so it they the opening.

Your car looks good, what suspension/eng/trans are you running.I want the top to slope a bit more in the rear than yours,if you ever looked at the Ayala bros. `42,thats what i am going for. Thanks for the comment.

some more of the frame, and also the smoothing of the rear fenders, tailights, eliminating the running boards, and finally a pic of the '42 grille the will be fitted in.I need a GRILLE HALF to complete the overall grille since the Ayala had 4 more teeth than the original 2 halves.thanks:cool:

Here is some more pics of what i have been working on.The rear splash pan needed to be completed,I have the complete unit, but the center section was aluminum so i replaced it with a replacement piece i made from 18 gauge sheetmetal.it was welded and i incorporated the curved section against the body. The sides of the splash(in pic) looked unfinished where it meets the fender, so i added a piece of metal so it blends better with the lower section of the fenders.Next will be finishing the trunk area,it has a few dents, and after removing the lead ,i discovered some less than O K repairs. The lead was about 3/4" in some places!Hope you guys dig it.

    Very nice fit...

  25. Looking good.
    I love them chopped coupes.

Question: Don't you need any interior bracing when chopping them coupes?
Or did I miss seeing it?

I am green with envy :D

  30. Bandito this is looking awesome. Was the Ayala Kustom green? The Lopez one was I believe. Mine will be black, looking great Nelly I also have a 4" chop and my roof line is pretty much the same as yours.
Bandito with the extra inches taken out the rear of the roof will slope more anyway. You prolly figured that.
Great inspiring stuff, I'm going to leave work right now without telling anyone, leave half a cup of coffee on the desk so it looks like I'm around somewhere and go home to my garage.
