Thank You you saying what I've held back for years! As for the Monkee's mobile, I totally agree how Mike Gray "Pimped that Ride" with TV's ,etc.... and as for the Munster Koach on disply today by the same person, Not any where is the name of the person who I have pix of & watched build the 2nd one in '84-85. Mike just spit polished it and now takes credit for the Re-Re-Build. I have NO beef with George or Mike this is just an F.Y.I. for the readers.

  2. Reminds me of one I once saw. '74 Buick Electra, top cut off, fiberglass half-top added cut out of something like one of those houses they use for veal calves, big tin fins added to the quarters with welds that looked like boogersnot the whole length of them, finest paint a brush could apply everyplace else inside and out...

As classic kitsch goes, the Batmobile is it. Would I be caught dead driving it, not bloody likely. I'd rather roll in the General Lee any day.

(Did I just say that? Oh man. Old flames die hard.)

Hey, Turdchazer, careful, Barris might take your arm.

I hired some old regular 8 batman movies in the 80s and the batmobile was a 49 merc convertible.

I wonder if the guys building cars for campy TV shows in the 60s, thought that guys would be so scientific in their nitpicking in 2009. That being said, Im with dreddy, I drive the shit out of the batmobile :D

George is a Dick! And to set the record straight he did not do the metalwork on the Batmobile. The metalwork was done by and at Bill Cushenbery's shop.

i'd honor the Futura, but go with some of the body mods from the Bat car, like opened up wheelwells. i'd leave off the labeled secret weapons., and mosy if not all of the bat insignia.going that far, i'd actually rather have one of the galaxie framed cars than the Lincoln frame. go for that ice blue pearl paint. and leave the jet turbine exhaust off.

the Batmobile from the 40's would be the one to clone.
