what's up fellas. anyone know what size tires are the tallest for a 15" rim? i would prefer radial but will settle for bias ply.

Did you check with Coker, other tire sellers?

how wide is your wheel? that depends too. i've seen 33 but that was a commercial tire for an 8-10in rim i think.

For an ordinarily wide rim (7-8 inches) a P265/75R15 is pretty good. Not as wide as the late, lamented P285/70R15, but within a whisker of the same 30-31 inch height. I recently put some Hankooks on the back of my '41 pickup, and they look and work fine.

If you are running a little narrower wheel, consider a P235/75R15; about 29 tall.

  6. 265/75/15 Approx 30 3/4" tall. My tire vendor says he can get some in a street tread, but didn't tell me the brand.

Talked to Coker about three weeks ago and the 285/70R15's are avalible again. There not made by BFG,but by I think Michelin or whoever bought BFG. Tread patern is the same as the T/A's

rim width is 4.375". i'm currently running 225/70R15 BFG's but the crown is a bit too wide for my taste and not tall enough.

might want to check with diamond back. they have tall and skinny tires but i think they are for 16s tho. they make 215/80 and 215/85. they are radials. but i think they are only whitewalls.

i checked with coker tires.. they suggested 7.00-15. if i dont find radials that are equivalent to that, i'll try em on for size and let you all know how they fit.
