Yeah the motor part will be fun a word of advise is keep everything clean.. Im doing 2 motors rite now a high performace 400 sbc and a 305 for my truck also.. Will be doing a 350 in a 99 suburban here soon.. Its cheap to do and people will pay good for someone to do it.. Its easy side money to get my build done..

yeah, well my dad used to race supergas, the guy that built my motor built my dads so we know him well plus he is top noch, he builds marine racing engines and he's extremely maticulous, you could eat off the floors in his shop, very cool guy, but, i would love to build a nice 71-72 nova later on, for now though i wanted to be sure this build went right considering this is my first rod, low and slow haha, wehn i build my nova, im gonna put a nice 350 together for it, maybe ill have to hit ya up :)

damn another young buck like me who hates hondas and did i hear you wanted to build a nova oh ive done that already to heres a pic and link to the few build pics.
it had the rare but stong sbc 302 in it with 305 heads for better compression. An edelbrock intake 380 lift cam geared timing full lenght headers dual flowmasters 10 bolt rear end with gears traction bars and all engine acceries were new. Built it all for under 1000, how i did that it was all connecitons i have even got a brand new carb for 20 bucks polished out hei off ebay for 50 this damn thing was fast and i beat several hondas in it.

I bought the car for 300 bucks. Was a great deal the paint was done and all running gear was either there or in trunk. Idiot who had it before me didnt know what he was doing, just simply had to fix some electrical wiring and it fired up then i got a wild hair i torn the top half of the motor and redid some stuff. But enough of the nova lets get some more pics of your olds.

i wish more of our generation were into older cars and older traditions, it doesnt mean anything to them.... its sad and unfortunate but thats how it is, i look at it this way, anyone can bolt on a bodykit or spoiler, anyone can bolt on a plastic shift knob from autozone, not everyone has the love and p***ion to take care of these old cars and restore them back to their glory.. i think what i love most about these cars is that, think about all the places they have seen, all the people they have encountered, if you think about it, it is truly amazing, and then i think, i want to make it look like it did back in its day i want to paint it, i want to shine all its chrome, i want to get in and drive it to make it be appreciated again :)

there needs to be more people like us. They dont understand the hard work to get a cl***ic car back on the road again. Alot of my buddys have tuners and there parents pay for it all. To me its all about working for what you got and showing pride in your own work.

Cool project! My 1st car was a '64 88 sedan, my 2nd was a '62 Starfire convertible. It brings back memories, I was 18 and had to dive into the motor as soon as I got it.

Re-seal that Slimjim, the are notorious for leaking out of the front seal.

Oh man, I think I had mine out to be sealed in 1974 or so. I don't recall what it looked like, but I took the trans minus the disc package to my local box shop and they sealed it on the tailgate of my truck on the spot.

I think it works by FM (fu**ing magic!). I think there's enough online so you should be able to research it easily enough. How do you like the reverse being on the south side of low?

ty ty racewriter, im glad all you old guys hahaha are willing to talk to and teach youngens like 54caddy and myself, ive met some that basically say buzz off, your young and cant understand, not on the hamb of course but at some local shows so, thx, i think part of the reason is with our generation being so effed up and disrespectful as it is, they think that im the same as the rest, but alas, thats not the case ;)

yes bob reverse is odd :) i got the car and looked at the shifter in center console and said huh? and then i pulled the motor and trans, and basically in my mind i thought? (WTF? im missing parts....nooooo) haha but come to find out its all there :)
