Depending on the overall height (where the front frame crossmember is is relation to the grill shell) you may wanna look into the early Mustang radiators. Without exact measurements, that is the best answer I can give ya. Sorry.

I having a similar issue. Channeled 29 with a 327, and wanting to run a hood. The stock mounting position would require a custom radiatior that probably wont cool given the size(even with a big electric fan).

Looks like im going to run choped(4") aluminum a radiator in front if the cross-member & a custom lenth hood

    My 2 cent

'65-6 Mustang.....that's what I used in my Model A PU that was channelled 4".....so was the grill shell.

  6. I went through all kinds of stuff with my '56 radiator. Some said Mustang, but the outlets are on the wrong side and a Y-block has a 2" hose on the bottom. I ran across a guy at Moultrie from a radiator company in Gadsden AL that makes big truck radiators and he said he'd make me an aluminim one for less than $300. I took mine to him for a pattern and they are building it right now. We'll see how it is. Should have it by the end of the week.

I have the 65ish Mustang rad with added 4 flathead outlets on a 31 channeled Vicky with chopped deuce grille, and a stock 29 rad with outlets changed for 327 sbc.
I have use the mustang rad on other rods also.

And, you can get an aluminum Mustang one if you want, with the outlets on the correct side for a SBC, for about $200 on line.
