The black 56 caddy is owned by one of our club members brain, stretch on the HAMB. Use to have a purple fur top until the bugs and weather got to it after about two years...

I'm very proud to have been a part of this. It wouldn't have happened if you guys wouldn't have showed up, so thank you ALL!!! I've heard from more than a few people that the Arena was one of their favorite parts. We were certainly well received. I'm pretty sure we'll be back! Next year is going to be the 50th annual show, it should be a good one.

You did a great job Eric!! Alot of the cars in this area also won trophies which would of been unheard of in the past at this show. It was also fun firing up my bike and riding it through the building HAHAHA!!!

I don't read it, I just look at the pictures :D Thanks! It was more of a street rod show, lots of "show only" cars. There was always a cool hot rod or custom or two, but never like this and never with this much acceptance.

Wonderful "THEM" display!! Looks like a great show all around, really some hot stuff, even in the "super show" cars. Loved all the shoeboxes lined up. It just is cool all around. Omaha's World Of Wheels is having a a traditional scene this year and I hope it can be as cool as this set up.~Sololobo~

they got it wrong is a 1930 model a, not a 34 like they said in the news cast...

  21. The show was great, so much better than any of the last 6 or so years. Gave me a reason to plan for next year. The garage scene from "THEM!" was awesome!!! Kudos to all the HAMBers, I wish I could have joined in, maybe next year.

  22. That 34 coupe TX tag # X74VF0 is the one that was in the book, "the Cobra in the Barn. "

Great coverage GonzoSS! Thanks for posting all the pictures!

    UPDATE:

So I'm leaving for work this morning, walking past the roadster project that is now home from the Autorama safely in the garage when I notice that the dash rail is missing. I start thinking, "Someone stole my dash rail at the Autorama!" Then I think, "Uh.. I didn't bolt that down before trailering the roadster back home... Oh man, maybe it blew off on the road!"

So I get to work and check my pictures and the dash rail is still on the roadster during the awards ceremony, so NO it's not stolen. Looks like my stupidity was at play here.

So, on the drive home, I think to myself that there is no way I would possibly find this thing on the side of the North Dallas Toll Road anywhere in between Downtown and Plano. I decide to jump on the Toll Road going north from 635, to see if by chance it held on until close to home. As I come around the turn to get on the Toll Road, immediately on the right curb I see it! Right in front of the Hotel at the Dallas Galleria Mall! I quickly slow to a stop in the middle of the lane (no shoulder here) throw on my hazards, jump out and run back to pick it up! The cars behind me weren't too happy about this, but I couldn't just leave this piece of Henry Ford metal sitting on the side of the road all alone, injured and shivering in the cold! The things we do for our hobbies!

So, long story short, I'm bummed that it blew off, but happy that I got some closure on what exactly happened to it! And that's why I'm now in the market for another 1930 - 1931 Ford Roadster Dash rail.

Any leads on a dash rail appreciated!! :D
