Copart salvage auction in houston tx has a 51 merc chopped coupe going off on 2-20-09. Anyone knows a dealer and wants to bid. Bid so far at $5,600.00.
could work out to be a nice custom, with a few mods,i would bid,but you knoow how its goes theses days...
It comes with a SALVAGE (flood) title. You have to be a dealer to buy it. Anyone know more details on the car as to driveline etc.
I'm currently trying to find out some more information on the driveline, etc. When and if I do, I'll post it. The current bid and future bids really don't mean too much for right now. The REAL auction starts at noon 2/20/2009. At that time, interested bidders (who are registered) will be able to bid in real time. Stu
looked into the site a bit last night. you have to have a dealer lisence, like roddin-shack said, and it cost $200 to register on the site, so make sure you really wanna play before you spend the money to even have a shot at putting a bid.
You're correct. My guy (my bidder) is registered all over the U.S., but tells me there are additional buyers fees, loading fees, blah blah. He's been spending about 300 - 500 dollars depending on the ending bid. We're watching. Stu
I bid to $15300.00 and a guy from Nebraska got it for $15,400.00 plus auction fees. Anybody know who bought it? Stu
I was on the car and got off at $15.K . I thought that was all the money for a body and because up here in good ol Canada it cant be registered with a Salvage title, then there is about $1500. to get it here. Oh well maybe the next one will be closer.
Could have been a hurricane car. All those auctions in H-town are selling off bikes and cars that have been caught in one of our wonderful hurricanes. Might have had a salt water soak for a few months, still nice good score.
