I was hoping to get some help with lowering my 42 Ford truck. I plan on keeping parallel leaf-springs and wanted to move the axle to the top. Do I need some sort of pad on the bottom of the axle or what can I do? What leafs should I remove? I am also going to Z the frame. Pictures of some set ups would help.I've been searching for close up pictures but haven't had much luck. I also like the under slung look but not a lot of close up pictures either.

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure why you need to move the springs to the bottom if the frame is Z'd.

I want it to look low in the front also. Not just the cab. Do you have pictures of this done?

I put a dropped axle in mine and took a couple leafs out. You can't flip the axle on top of the springs unless you C-notch it...not enough clearance. With mine, the axle hit the frame on large bumps.

That truck looks good. My axle is already dropped from the factory. I keep reading about people doing this, I just want to see their set up. Or close ups of an underslung.

nothing beats a good old fashioned google images search when I can't locate pics of what I am looking for.

I've been doing that for the past 3 days. Looking for detailed pictures of something that specific using keywords is like a needle in a haystack. But if I ask some fellow HAMBers maybe they will post some pics.

    Thank you
