The Radir web site looked like they weren’t out yet. They listed the size as 18"x3". I guess they're meant to be run with motorcycle tires. Were the old wheels that size?

They're gorgeous! do look a bit fruity with brakes though...

I have a pair of ten spokes (cast, not polished) on the front of the *gulp* bug [IMG] [IMG]

The old magnesium 12 spokes are American racing. Im never 100 % positive but I dont recall Halibrand making 12 spokes.

I've got a couple of sets of magnesium 15x3.5 12 spokes but there are some 18x2.5 Halibrands in magnesium on Ebay right now.

I don't understand what the problem is with those new 12-spokes, but it's been something like two years since I heard that they were in the works.

Halibrand never made 12-spokes, but American made them in 15-inch and also in 17 by 2 1/2 and 18 by 2 1/2.

There are articles about both companies on this page:

I've also written a page about some of my own old wheels here:

Maybe the hub is shaped like that to give more meat to drill into for the brakes? Looks good, but different.

guys:eek:ffcourse the 12 spokes were made by american,my mistake,tired..so,they all 18" were 2,5" wide then?.5" isn´t much to worry about,I want it to look good when mounting a ribbed 3.00x18 or so whith out the rim looking to wide,if they ever get that production going, buying 30+yrs old magnesium stuff on ebay seems a little to optimistic to me,but if anyone has apair they might sell, let me know.
