Ive done some searching and came up with a little bit. but couldnt find answers for my setup.

Im running a gmc 270 in my 50 chevy deluxe. Ive installed a stovebolt mini hei (non points), with a accel super coil. I ran 10 gauge wire from battery to ign, then 12 to Coil. Getting power from ign to coil. But none from it to DIST. Instructions for Dist say to connect red wire to coil + and brown to -. any ideas? i usually dont go hei, and run points. so this is all new to me.

    Any help is appreciated.

if it's a used coil, it could be junk. also does it need a resister to the coil?

if the dist. uses an external coil(does not have an internal coil in the dist.cap)and only has two wires, then you would need 12v to dist(red wire)and +side of the coil, the brown wire from dist to - side of coil. you shouldnt need a resister as they are used to save the points.the ignition module is very easy to ruin by hooking it up backwards, some parts stores can test them ( off the car) for you
