Most of the EARLY cars had spots but not all of 'em.
As far as early accesories, less = more.

    JB....I love that car.......even WITH the spots! :D

TRUE TRUE. lets hear about the tires, the caps, the body mods. i have a pretty good idea what mods i'm going to use but i'm still uncertain about the grill and headlight treatments. it won't be stock i can tell you that. i'm not very fond of the 47 or 48 grills. 46 is OK but replacements are'nt cheap and i'd rather go kustom.

as for the drip rail thing. i'm not a big fan of cars with no drip rails. many (not all) look kinda stupid and bulbous without them. minw will either have the drip rails left intact or i will do the trick where they flare the roof out along the line of where the drip rail should be.

Yeah, Jesse Lopez' Ford is a great car, isn't it? :D

I'm not so keen on cars with no sidetrim whatsoever... Needs something to
get the lines in the right flow.

The typical "Barris thing" with taillights in the rear bumper guards, wasn't it
Jesse Lopez that did that trick? He did the Matranga ones, I heard.

Not sure on the Lopez deal....but I sure love that car!:D

I agree with ya on the side trim.....just a single spear works for me. Some of the '49-'51 Mercs customized in the 50's had some FUNKY side trim, just didn't FLOW well with the rest of the car.:(

good point on the trim. i'm ditching the smooth stainless trim that went around beltline but i'm replacing it with some rippled trim that i found on another Chevy in the junk yard. it musta been the deluxe trim or something.
