Anyone running or building or has pics on odd OHV conversions on the A and B engines please show me, i do not mean the ordinary bolt ons but rather the homebuilt specials or heads from other car engines or motorcycles fitted on the banger. Maybe they have been seen on Bonneville!?

    Thanks. Tommy.

I ran a Y block head on my 32 Plymouth 4 cylinder. It was 5/8 inch shorter than a Ford. A DeSoto head would have been perfect on it, but I just could not see how I could run the pushrods. The Murray's run a Windsor Ford head (Aluminum) on their B block modified.

A pushrod that went between the intake rocker shaft and the exhaust rocker arm. The cam pushed on 16 pushrods (and lifters) 8 of which went to intake rockers and 8 of which went to 270 degree rockers that pushed on short pushrods that crossed over and they pushed on the exhaust rockers. I looked at that for the DeSoto head on my Ply, but I would have had to provide a new hole in the head for the exhaust pushrods to come up thuough and I think there were going to be spark plug tube issues also. been a while.

    Nice ones, all of them!

Have: time, interest, machiningpossibilities, fantasy, and some enginuity.
    Don't have: lots of money.

Thats the reason for me to search for this kind of engines.

Will measure some heads boring distance such as different hemis, alfa dohc, i would like it to be aluminum for ease of welding but iron will work.

Thanks so far and please keep them coming.

Would be interesting to see a pic of that monkeymotion setup.

    T.
