There will be no HOTRODARAMA for 2009!

This was the ticket since they killed the Unfinished Nats. A damn shame. It would be great if someone could pick it up. Talk it out.

 

Man.. I heard rumours but I didn't wanna believe... Funnest best show this side of paso..

 

I did wonder why the shirt i'd bought last August (i'm wearing it now) says "Last one ever?" on it.

That show is great, first time i'd been to it after having lame excuses for missing the previous ones.

Bummer about the roadster show too. That's one I always go to.

 

I will start doing arrangements for the year 2010. See you guys!

Well that just blows my summer... Havent missed a year! My wife isnt gonna be happy either. Thanks for the good times! Well.. Guess I can throw a hodown in Ol' Oakland District in memory? Their is a Public Utilities parking lot next to the house... hmmm.. Back to the unorganized no permit days eh? Well, I do know that the South Tacoma Ralley in the Alley is a good time also.

Hope to see hotrodarama back up and running... HOPE!

 

I already had the weekend reserved on my calendar and this was my favorite show each year. Thanks guys for a great show and I'm looking forward to what you do next!

Thanks for the last couple years, anouther thing that makes this year suck, oh well guess i couldnt bring anything anyway because i got t-boned a few weeks back

 

thanks for all the kind words about the show. we really couldn't have done it without all you folks who attended it. It was a great ride and a lot of memories indeed, well the ones we can remember anyways. so I thank all who supported us and attended the show and played a roll in makeing the show what it was. the website will be updated soon with formall thank you's and all the information. so check the site in the next few weeks. As Steve "Ironbuyer" said this was a club decision. and all we can ask is for all to understand and look to the future. thank you again The Mischief Makers... That sucks, we had some great times at Hotrodarama, was looking forward to it again this year. Thanks to Steve and all the Mischief Makers for some great shows.

Rumor at the swap meet today was that its a legal fight about the name is this true?

 

Rumors are great! Read the post again and that is what is going on. We are shifting gears and there is not battle over the name. You all wait and see. Like I said we will be doing something else just a good. The name ended with the show that is it. There will be only one HOTRODARAMA!

Bummer, but hay now it doesn't really matter if my car runs by summer...

 

Any chance of the Demonos Picking it up? They seem to have a prety strong showing in the tac. area, and probably have some pull... huh...I would hate to see this one go by the way of the DoDo.

 

if the demanos want to do a show thats fine. the Hotrod-A-rama name stayes with the club!! they could probably talk to the swiss. But the lower parking lot will not be there this year. UW baught the parking lot from diamond lots and are starting demo in june. they are building a two story parking garage and offices on top of that. so that whole area will probably be a construstion site. we did not feel that we could make the changes needed for the show to continue and it be the same show. it was a great show for shure... thanks

 

I just read about that show in Rod & Kulture. It sounds like it was a great show.

WOW! Just WOW! I can't believe what I am reading here. HOTRODARAMA at the SWISS is my favorite car event of the year. The People! the Cars! the NITRO! The Bands! The PBR! If it is a space issue, how about South Tacoma where 'The Rally in the Alley was held'. How about the 'First Annual Swiss Tavern Pre 64' Traditional and Custom Appreciation Event' scaled down. Come on guys this is a Big ol kick in the nuts. No offense to the AMOCAT openhouse that I attended last year, which I totally enjoyed, both for the quality of cars, but more for the people. We need an event NOT on the Goodguys weekend. I know that an August Event in the Tacoma area would be well attended.

Steve, Some of these guy's have not a clue about what it takes to put of a show of the size and caliber of the HOTROD-A-RAMA. They must think you just show up on that magical Saturday in August and it just appears. If any of you guys want to do it just go ahead and do it. The Mischief Makers will be plannning a future event but it's top secret. Stay tuned and there is no crying in hotrodding!

 

Glad to hear it was the club and not the city that stopped the show. Looking forward to 2010.
