who is driving to viva las Vegas? I am driving from chickasha OK to viva and was wondering who was gonna be on the road with me. Hoping this thread can get convoy together. I want to make the trip in one day map quest calls it 16 hrs. I will run 40 west through Texas and New Mexico. Then crossing into Arizona. let me know if you are on route. Hope to see you all at viva.
I'll be driving up from Chandler Arizona on Thursday night. I hope to head out by 6:00 pm......If anyone wants to hook up, let me know.
There should be 10-15 guys from here in CO driving. Contact FivewindowJohnnie for the specifics. I think he even said something about trying to hook up with the guys from Indy. The drive is a blast!
The Road Rockets from Indy are driving out with 4-5 cars and a Dragster in tow. Lonely Knights car club from Colorado are bringing around 8 cars. Make sure you guys pre register. Save you a lot of time once you get there.
When should I show up in Vegas I was thinking Thurs night. I would drive thought the night and day to hit the strip at like 5. P.M Its my first VLV give me the lo down Thanks Sean
i'm gonna be an ***hole again and offer that if anyone needs use of a garage or tools or whatever, i only live about 10 or 12 miles from the show. lemme know if you need anything...
it will be a very short trip for me . if anyone needs anything i got a small picka part in my back yard and anything ya need to get something going and if you are going back to texas ill tag alone
So I am getting my car ready fore the run to VLV and you know what the smart thing to do when you have no time or money before a long trip. Yea cut the car up and change a tone of stuff!!! Try to run your business into the ground steeling time and money from it to work on some "cheep" car you put together just to beat on till you finish the "nice" hot rod. More importantly I was wondering if it was a good Idea To trade or make a e-mail list of contact info IE cell phone numbers and address of people on the road to VLV. I am working on no sleep so forgive me if this sounds stupid. I would rather have a HAMBr s phone number than AAA.
Sadly, I won't be, but my son will be. His trip won't quite as long, as his condo is about a mile from the Orleans
Tiger Mark, 1lowtrk and I are leaving Chicago on Sat. April 4th. Driving Route 66 and the Interstate. Anyone is welcomed to join us. Should arrive in Vegas on Wes. or Thursday .
Me and Mike of the Road Rockets are also leaving April 4th (saturday morning). He'll be in his roadster p/u and I'll be in the chopped Desoto. We plan on getting there sometime around tuesday... that is if there are no problems. We're going out I-70, then 44, then 40 west, then Vegas.

we are driving down on wednesday and taking the southern routte, but we are going down to tkae pictures for the hotrodhotline.com. no car yet but one in the works. 58 fleetside p/u will be driving an 09 chey p/u. see everyone there MikeB
Hey Dustin, How many hours/miles is the drive from Indy?? Obviously I could mapquest, just curious what it takes you guys. Do you go straight through or stop part way?
Bob, Dustin and Mike are leaving Sat morning. They put a new motor and trans in Mike RPU. Dustin finished his wiring last night. He reinsulated the Desoto, installed his new carpet. Gets his new tires tomorrow night and will spend Thursday and Friday nights completing his pre-flight check. I heard them talking the other night and I think they plan on three days to get there. (I'll let Dustin chime in here later). Tom is going to map their route for them. I know they will go I-70 to STL. 44 out of STL to TUL. 40 out of TUL to Kingman, AZ. 93 out of Kingman into Vegas. They are going to take it easy going out. He and Mike have plenty of time and plan to take in all they can see on the way out. Unless they change their minds, they will continue on the LA after VLV to get pictures of them with their cars at the ocean. Truely a once in a lifetime trip for two young guys. I was supposed to go with them and fly home @ VLV but work changed those plans for me a couple of weeks ago. We all meet for breakfast every Sat morning. I expect the guys will leave Culbertson's around 10am. John

Damn, Wish you guys were running up Thursday evening. Gotta work and will be hitting the road at 5 or 6 pm......Hopefully in Vegas by 11:30 Thursday night.
I am so pumped cant wait to get on the road..... Hope to c you all out on 66!!!!! Lets all have a good trip with no SNFUs
