Hi. I have a 62 F100 with the straight axle in the front. Does anyone know if I can just swap the spindals with a later model truck that already has disk brakes? Yes, I know the later models are IFS but does that have anything to do with the spindals? Thanks

The spindles won't swap. Been there, tried it, no go. Demountable discs will fit your hubs, then build plates to adapt calipers to the stock spindles.

    That's what I figured. Thanks a lot. I found a pretty good kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1957...-5-ON-5.5_W0QQitemZ300273589733QQcmdZViewItem
But I was thinking I could make this myself for a lot cheaper and possibly use ford parts. The kit uses chevy rotors and calipers. I think this is because the calipers bolt on whereas on all the fords I have seen, they wedge or clip on. Anyone know of any ford fully bolt on calipers? Thanks again
