just a tip... try running your rod with all the lug nuts... it'll help preserve your new paint job from guard rail rash!

I'm with southpark here...this is a rat rod. If you're going to post pics of a a rat rod on the HAMB you can expect to get flamed.
We've been through this a million times....there are other forums where cars like this will be better appreciated.

OK, so you're just an asshole with no manners... noted. I bet you probably even think that's cool. OK, whatever. I guess there's a jerk like you in every crowd. We all have to start somewhere, and every damned one of us is proud of our ride... does it make you feel better to degrade his ride because the door is a lil rough?

At least he has a car that's drivable, and that is commendable. I'm betting he's not gonna leave it like that forever, but it's pretty cool that he can drive it until it gets finished.

I think they both look like shit. Go ahead and put the name of your body shop on the door, that way everyone will know where not to go. Rusty firewall, wrinkled door, and super wide radials; awesome. But hey at least the motor is purdy. And keep in mind, you asked for opinions.

And you can click on my sig to see what I've worked on.

Defisch whats up with the door? You should have seen mine took a day to bring back to a recognizable shape using a wet rag and torch.. What exactly is going on there is it bondo or dented metal?

Ya know after all this bantering back and forth. I went back and looked at both vehicles real close. And I don't see rat on either one of them. A few wrinkled panels maybe a missing lug nut. C'mon guys you know what a real rat looks like. And there's more quality in both these cars than most rats i've ever seen. Granted I'm no expert....ghost

Yes, the door should have been fixed, but, I wanted to make it look nice for now. I need a cowl so was thinking that when I got that, I would work more on the rest of it.
    Thanks for the support.

I have a question.... how is this a rat rod? It doesn't have any baseball sized rust holes in it and as far as I can tell there isn't any 1/2" thick weld beads on top of rusted bolts for pivot points or steering linkage made out of used toilet paper rolls? I thought that was what made a rat rod? This just looks like a street driven hot rod to me.
