    No Sir,

Had a 4 hour long meeting after work yesterday with a fellow indie filmmaker who is an experienced visual effects guy at Dreamworks. Has worked on all kinds of big films (Independence days for ex). He has read about my film on my filmmaker's forum and was compelled to PM me and offer his help :D. So that brings the number of people that may be able to possibly help with some needed CGI for the crash scene to 4 !! There is quite a bit to do so if each person takes on a couple shots, we will be A-OK.

His first assignment? To add CGI blood to the torn metal side panel shot. I am really excited. but tat's only the begiining (the easy stuff) we have some other ideas that would present a BIG challenge to do on a zero budget CGI... I hope he is able to make it happen it would be a miracle from God! two more wonderful people in Germany are also offering help with other shots :) and one guy in Canada is working on adding a full moon to the night race.... Let's hope this all works out. And if it looks credible enough, that it ends up becoming part of the film... It sure woudl bring the production value up even more.

This whole film has been made from miracles. I am so grateful both to God and to all the awesome people who are coming to the rescue. This is becoming a real group effort now. I have carried it that far on my own two shoulders, but the final editing (color correction, filters, CGI, sound mixing) I am going to need the big guns to lift with me.

And HOP! UP we go :D...

You got the right attitude Faith! I can't wait to hear more about the t-shirts, you can count me in for a few. I will see what I can do as far as coming up with a donation from myself and some of my contacts. All of us car guys and girls have to help you out and keep this thing going. It is going to be awesome.

Yeah guys, I've been "hand tightening" the scenes and they are coming out good.... Real gooooood... Its' getting there.. It's getting there...

Hoping to knock out another scene tonight. i think I'll tackle the scene shot in Bettie's parents bedroom. It was filmed in Tom Spark's own bedroom :D. Totally 40's style. Awesome. Tom is also going to loan me an original trophy from Saugus from the mid fifties for the film :D... Tom was fast in his days and got many many trophies at his home from all the local dragstrips from back then.

    Way cool.

below: Tom's own Midget and in teh far back, his model A truck which he raced quite a bit at all the local dragstrips...

Hey, hey... You guys got the CARS AND the GIRL... The girls need to have "something" ;)... Nothing like a good looking shirtless 50's greaser dude working on a hotrod, dirty, grungy and sweaty in my book.

    Sign me up!!!

PS: All my gal friends, who know NOTHING about cars and hotrods agree with me on that one. They ALL want to see the film. A good problem to have... :D

Well, it's official, I have been invaded by Finland. (yes, usually People invade COUNTRIES but in this case, the country has invaded ME).

Woke up this morning to find a bunch of emails from Finland related to the WHEELS cover, from Finland bands. They are wanting to donate music. Some of the stuff is really good. that is so cool... So many countries now involved in the film. I have one song from a French artist, got some stuff from Spain, now Finland... Plus the tons of material from US of course...

This film soundtrack is going to ROCK hard.

    What's next?

Any aliens out in far away galaxies recording 50's rockbilly stuff? Send your stuff in! [IMG]

(But please, please no 'you-know-what' probing - thank you ... LOL)

About the wrenches on Valentine's Day: nothing says ROMANTIC like CRAFTSMAN. Hah! Great news about the other Hot Rodders and Musicians around the globe getting on board. Everyone is beginning to see how awesome this film will be and they want to be a part of it. More Deuce Of Spades Miracles! -Jerry:>)

Hiboy girl, been following your neat thread since last year, & expectations are coming true for not only YOU, but for all the anxious gearheads both young & old!!
I have said that it takes a whole lot of "moxy" to go out on a string such as you have been experiencing since the start of your dream, all the way thru, you have been modestly asking for "small contributions" to insure finishing of your film, & many contributors have greatly responded to see it through to the final end.
Congratulations on all your HARD work, & more importantly, realizing a personal goal soon to be accomplished amid lots of cheers from all participating HAMBERS!!!-------------Don

  18. Just got my Hotrod hotline email newsletter and there's an article about you and the movie - seems like you've got a whole "world" of folks in your corner and getting bigger every day! Way to go!

Ok you guys check this out:

GUESS WHO I BUMPED INTO YESTERDAY by complete accident, at the NHRA museum (where I went for the SIDEWINDERS banquet)

A limo pulls up and none other than BILLY GIBBONS of ZZ TOP comes out. I still had my film poster in my hand cause we had just unloaded promo suff and were heading up to the banquet.

So I (not being shy) walked straight up to him and told him about my hotrod film.

Next thing I know he is wanting to take a photo of me and my poster for him.

    ????????????? SAY WHAT ??????????????????

Next thing I also know is that he is now pausing with me and the poster and giving me his card with addresses in LA and Texas to send him a copy of the film when it is done...

THAT WAS SO WAY COOOOOOL... Oh yeah............. The weird thing is that I have been wanting to somehow get in touch with BILLY for 2 years now and not knowing how to go about it. It was PURE COINCIDENCE that he happened to drive to the NHRA museum that afternoon to see a new car the museum just purchased and that I happened to be there going to the SIDEWINDERS banquet...

PERFECT TIMING !!!!!!!!!!! A ONE IN 4 MILLION CHANCES.

Lady Luck smiles upon me again!

    Hi Faith.

Just thought you might like to know that there is a small article in NZ Hot Rod (NZ's longest established Automotive magazine) about Deuce of Spades. So now you'll be gettin' bugged by a whole lot of Kiwi's as well !!:D

This is more great news. I must get a copy somehow of all these cool magazines. Anybody in the L.A. or O.C. Area know of an international magazine store that might carry magazines like WHEELS and NZ HOT ROD? -Jerry:>)
