actual 1928 service garage mailout

  1. Here is an interesting piece of automotive history. Below is the mailing envelope dated June 29th, 1928 from a garage in North Dakota.

    Below is the enclosed letter telling potential customers to consider keeping and fixing up their Ford Model T's even though the new Model A's are now being built. Check out the retail cost of parts and also the labour rates for 1928!

  8. Prices sound pretty cheep, until you realize many folks were working for $.10 to $.50 an hour. Henry Ford was paying $5.00 for a 10 hour day, and that was the highest wage for factory workers.
    It's all relative...
