Our local library does a calender every year and asks everyone for any old photos. I've been holding on too some of my favs, and thought you guys might enjoy them. So here goes

This is from 1939 and the local Ford dealer got a visit from The official Mercury fuel economy car. I guess it went around the country touting how efficient the new Mercury's were. I got a kick out of the sign in the window.

This is from the same Ford dealership. Every Christmas they put together a holiday scene with the latest model. The V12 Lincoln was the winner this year.

This one is a bad day at the local ice house in 1930.

This is from our local ski jumping hill. They just celebrated their 122 anniversary, guessing this pic is late 40's?
    Hope you enjoy them!

    Nice photos..

Almost 80 years later and they still have to pull out cars and trucks that have broken thru the ice.

You would think we would have learned something in all that time!

  3. Cool! Thanks

Looks like someone had a sense of humour judging by Santa's stance by the backwheel...:)
and what happened to the skier who couldn't lay down at the end of a long jump? I guess you know why there aren't too many old cars in your area today, today after dunking in the lake and driving on slushy roads the rust must have wiped out most of them, although the woodie might be worth hunting for.
