Funny thing is, here in Texas everybody who is an old car guy knows, or at least knows of, Stacey, unless they just arrived from North, East, West, or yes, even wet right out of the river from the South. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, a solid businessman who knows his stuff, knows his business, and knows what something is worth.

 

I figured some folks would find the site handy... took some digging to find that one! LOL!

I miss having such parts stores around, where you could walk in, tell the person what you need, they understood and could actually tell you if they have it.

I just moved to Austin FROM Dallas and I still can't get over the fact that I lived next to this guy for 10 YEARS and didn't even know he was there!

Don't believe everything you see and hear.
I've been to his place and he is a swell fellow for sure but............there are used parts in amongst all that "NOS" and when I asked about a rear axle for a Model A, I was shown an axle that may have been for a T or gawd knows what, but it sure wasn't for a Model A.
I'm not saying "don't patronize the man's shop" because I'm not saying that at all. What I am saying is when buying old car parts, stay alert and ask all the right questions. The guy and his shop are a valuable resource and should be respected as such, just keep your wits about you.

Now that is the way the old parts shops used to be . I have his name and phone number wrote down for parts I will need .

 

I did business with him in about 64 or 65 when looking for deuce doors...Thought $175 for the pair he had was too high and passed on them...Yes, I still am kicking my self!!

 

Too cool..... I'd love to talk with this guy...
