Hello i'm a newbie to this forum. A little about me, married with 2 great kids and lovely wife. I have been tinkering with mechanical things for as long as I can remember. I come from a family that is good with their hands. My father was a tool and die maker who first started going to the drags at the famed Lions dradstrip in California back in the late 50's and early 60's. My family ended up moving to Texas in the mid 60's and been here ever since. My older brother had several 55s and a couple of 57s and I guess this is where I got my taste for cars. I own a 68 RS/SS Camaro that I drag raced with a injected big block on alcohol, I also have a 55 hardtop and sedan that I would like to get back on the road soon. I was just suffering the web and came accross this site and i'm glad I did.

Thanks for the welcome, You have some great cars there. I hope you get the blower motor together soon. My next step was to put a PSI "D" blower motor together for my Camaro and run in the True 10.5 class but I have since changed my mind. I can no longer compete with these guys that have sponsors and such, plus all the rule changes, etc.. I'll be putting my Camaro back on the street so I can enjoy it more. I hear ya on the money deal, if I did not do all of the work myself on my cars I could not afford to have them. I miss the days of racing someone that had built their own car with their own hands and knew what they were talking about. Now anyone with cash can buy a car built already and hire someone to keep it going for them. Where is the fun in that? Enough ranting already. Thanks again for the welcome.
