Well we were on the way to the local BBQ joint saturday night car show when I decided to try and race 50Ford (Bad Idea!) I guess it was just to much for my 23 T and the little 302 decided It had had enough fun for one night and decided to come apart. We got it pulled over and B*** and Kevin started lookin for the mysterious clicking sound while I sat there with my head down and my lip on the ground! Before I no it Stangzilla and Mike C come drivin up and lend a hand also! We end up towing it back to 50fords house and they proceed to tear the engine down and find the problem, order the parts, and take me out to dinner, all in one evening! All I can say is these guys are the Real Deal! They live and breath Hot Rods and they are always ready to pitch in and help us less mechanical types out! I owe all these guys big time!! The next dinner is on me fellows and at least the first round of beers Thanks Ed

Yea Tyler, The rebuild will be with one of then "lopin"type cams and other ***orted go fast goodies! Kinda glad it happened now. I might even challenge you at the drags
So what happened on the inside? With all those guys in action it would'nt have been unlikely that you made back to the cruise night and still got dinner in. They don't mess around when it's broke.
Looked like maybe a couple of the rear lifters might have stuck. The lobes on one end of the cam shaft were kinda chewed up. We also discovered the timin chain was way worn out and the wheel that runs the oil pump was about to fall off. It was a good time for this to happen, should run like a MOFO after a few upgrades.
That's right Blake....that's a prime example of why YOU and Hans should always be ready to come tow us when we break down around Houston....ModernBeat PURPOSELY never gave us a current phone number, just to avoid "the call"......

anytime ed glad we could hang out for a while i had to get the princess home she was tired. so was phoenix.haha we'll get ya back on the road this weekend later oh yeah stangs rule
