[ QUOTE ] was born with a billet spoon [/ QUOTE ] Im pretty sure he grew up poor. I liked his TV show, but I missed Rides last night, so I can't comment there.
"ohh there's bird poop on my car.... it wasn't there yesterday when we put it in the trailer, but now there's bird poop on my car and it's been in the trailer since yesterday" (well, it must have been on there when you pulled it into the trailor.. OR there is a bird in the trailor.. OR there is a hole in the roof of your trailor..) "there's a Toyota Previa in the parking lot license # 52T3sd, your car has been set on fire" (what about your Navigator... DICK? don't make fun of imports and cars that don't belong in the parking lot when you pull up in your SUV (sport utility VAGINA!)) "in Oklahoma they noodle.. that's bare handed fishing.. you just reach in between the rocks and grab a fish.... hehe, that's where Oklahoma gets it's reputation" (what in the fuck does that mean... reputation?? is he calling those people rednecks to thier faces??... dick) Can't the editors of the show take this stupid shit out of the show.... How does this type of commentary make the final cut? Fuck them! HC
Yes, there were moment's that were nice, to see. And it beat's the side-show's of late. Perhap's the feed-back shall have the 'power's that be', in search of a 'tackfull' host. When surfing the board and the show Ride's as a background, (twice) you really focus on the dialog. Listening and getting the feel. Titus came across as a Generic Jim Carey. Speaking fast with hidden insult's doe's not make you funny. That is why the passing of Indian Larry is so painfull, he was real and kind. Listen.
Whatever show on TLC where they showed his car being built, at the beginning he did a mini rant about how this car is being made to be driven, etc.. Towards the end of the show, it's in a covered trailer being hauled somewhere Mostly I'm just envious of people with lots of $$$, because I know exactly what I want, I just can't afford it In a friendly world like custom autos, I don't get the point to hoist up any one person as the king of hotrods, or customs, etc... These TV shows turn a lot of people sour. The time that Titus spends jsut hanging out dictating what work to be done on his car, is more than I get VACATION time at my job.. I'm jealous that someone as seemingly unfunny as him is so wealthy, when I bust ass and own a 1500 dollar car that doesn't run I'm REAL funny sometimes! I wish the talent scouts would pick me up. The problem is that I couldn't handle fame.. They'd put me on TV lying about me and I'd come clean telling everyone I was a no tallent hack, and that'd be bad for ratings...
Nobody answered my original question....."Who is that guy ?" Maybe it was covered in the episode but I fell asleep after about 15 minutes. Last thing I remember was the bird turd tragedy. I felt bad for him....
[ QUOTE ] When they showed what happened to that Olds, it made me sick to my stomach. It looked like it was one of the nicest cars in the tour. Hope everybody was ok. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that was painful to watch! Voiceover: "forutnately, no one was hurt" What about the CAR???!?!!!????
[ QUOTE ] Nobody answered my original question....."Who is that guy ?" [/ QUOTE ] Some Profesional Funny Guy... That is assuming he has a job, and/or he could be funny??? My TV has a OFF switch. I used it...
If there was any justice in heaven then Indian Larry would still be alive and Titus should be gone. Shit, I shouldn't have said that.
[ QUOTE ] Can't the editors of the show take this stupid shit out of the show.... How does this type of commentary make the final cut? [/ QUOTE ] When all you have is a BUNCH of "stupid shit" you can only cut it down to less "stupid shit"
It was kinda ImmmmmFormative[ya kno-learnin channel].....I especially liked the midwest insults he laid down. also it was great that the poor fello with the nice Red/White55-6Olds that got T-boned was onlyleft with "an old PLYMOUTH to take home " [Yes Titus is a "real car guy" "from childhood"] he he!
After I was done working on my truck I watched some of it. The helicopter engine in the truck was cool. Titus and his sense of humor gets old quick. After the cut on Oaklahoma fishing I shut it off.

Used to have a teacher* who would tell the stupidest jokes over and over again. One of his favorites was... (in a class full of kids with, at least, a little Cherokee, Choctaw, etc in them) Why did the Indians wanna leave Oklahoma? Cause they got a Broken Bow, a Broken Arrow and Nowata! Then he'd laugh with a wierd "I'm gonna have a siezure right here and now" kinda laugh and his whole head would turn really red. After the show I went to his house and kicked him in the nuts. He's really old now. Titus is annoying. He seems to try too hard and if he senses that people aren't gonna laugh, he changes gears suddenly. Maybe it's me. I do that if I can. Course I'm not around people all that much. I'm off limits now. BTW, Dylan Bruno got the credit for narration. Did they finally dump Brandon? *I use this term in the loosest possible sense. Apparently this meathead was forced to teach something other than football. </font>
