Are these wheels one year only? (16 x 4) If not what other wheels are identical? I need one to match the three I already have.

From an old post on the HAMB:

    1940 V8-60HP =16x3-1/2"
    1940-1941 V8-85HP =16"x4"
    1942-1948=16x4-1/2"
    1948-1953 P/U =16x4-1/2" and 15x5"
    1954 P/U = 16x5

I just bought some today that are stamped with a ford emblem and a date of late '39. also bought a pair with KH and the ford script. I believe the '40-48 are the same size as stated. Although the Kelsey's are a bit wider (3/8 to 1/2). I'll be using them in the back.

I just measured. These are 5 1/4 outer lip to outer lip. Where do I measure to get the "real" width?

  8. Measure between the "lips", at the bottom of the rim, if that makes sense.

I asked my wife, she wasn't game. Just kidding. TY!

  10. It is my experience that the 4'' rims have 90 degree edges on the drop centre portion of the wheel where as the 4"-1/2 rims have a 45 degree slope toward the drop centre part of the rim. The wheel in the photo is a 4" piece and has the 90 degree drop centre.

Great this information really helps. Does anyone have a nice 16 x 4 they don't need?
