I work in my 2 car attached garage....she'd rather see me there than runnin' around with the boys. Obsession, I've wondered that too. .
Doing something like that just because you like doing it has to be the purist form of enjoyment, my hat is off to you.
Wrong make of car (Datsun Z), but it's got a supercharged big block chev engine in it. It's about 2 feet long. Built it 5 years ago.
Mad man mad man...just because I put NOS on it and flamed the tanks, doesn't make me a mad man does it?
Wow, those are freakin cool! You do an outstanding job! So Uncle Swells, will you build me one! ha ha ha Too Cool!
nice work, well done for sure... but just one curiosity... why transverse leafs, AND coilovers in front?
very nice. I consider myself a patient person but after seeing that ......damn! i give you props. Just out of curiosity if you were to build one for a customer how much would it cost?
ya what he said/ i could see them fine yesterday. but as i stated before i love the work they all look awesome
Hunter1111, hard to say, I'd probably look at a rate per hour and add up the hours. I doubt I'd sell any, the price would be ridiculious. Silent Orchestra, I think my pic host is temporarily down, check back later.
That's cool... oh here's somethin' for you to look at....couple bikes someone had sitting at a bar out in Belgrade NE...
I was originally posting this on a welding site and one of the guys sent me a mini Miller welder to incorporate into it. Here's the most recent update. I was back at it last night, started the trailer for the mini Miller welder Steve sent me. Eventually it will have a tool box, O/A tanks and what ever else I dream up. The rims still need tires made for them. Here's the pics:
Here's the update from last nights work. Made 2 tires (2 pcs of pipe welded together and turned in the lathe, finished welding in the spokes and did a bit of rough shaping on them too. Second pic is the beginning of the leaf springs. The bed is higher than I like...next weekend I'll be modifying the axle to drop it down.
Awsome work. Makes the stuff I built look pretty simple, but your are on a larger scale. Details come out better as the scale grows, mine were all about 8" or 9" long, but I made a lot of them. Most I built were in the 15-20 hour range and I was lucky enough to get $150 from a few of the last ones I built. It was fun to build them, but they are not a money maker at all. It was a good way to kill some time though. Here are a few examples of the 104 or so I've built. Gene
