opinions needed to louver or not to louver

I'm really torn on weather to louver my deck lid.i bought a sheet of Steal with louvers in it and i cant decide if want to use it or not.what do you think? here's some pics before and after just setting the sheet of steal up there

Would'nt be for me, my trunk leaks water bad enough without them.

 

I will take a different path here. I have had a heavily louvered car before. It really ****s in the rain. I think they can be fun to look at, but there are trade offs. They also make great spider doorways. The car isn't quite as clean looking with that many louvers. I would probably try to balance it out somehow, with a similar hood, and not have just a louvered deck lid. But that's me. Good looking car you have going there!

uh, the panel without the louvers isn't exactly straight or all one color and therefore doesn't look as good based on that alone. I'm a louver fan so I say go with louvers. It's like comparison pics of a person with a blank stare and a smile. Are their teeth really brighter in the pic with a smile or does it just look better because of the expression?

 

use the louvers. at least thats what i'd do.

 

You're really missing something if you have never sanded louvered panels. Block sanding through wetsanding your fingers will never be as clean, soft, thin or ****** again.

I dont know about you but I require food, drink, and sleep so there is the ocasional moment my car sits still and since I use it to travel more than 50 miles from its garage, rain is an issue for me.

has anyone ever installed louvers over top of a solid panel, so you can have the look and still keep the trunk dry?

 

Then I guess you should run a hood as well I have a louvered hood on my Buick and rain doesn't stop me.

What the hell do I need a hood for? Mine runs fine without one and i drive it in driving rain storms. My trunk is finished, and I use it, so I prefer to keep my **** dry. Louvers on a hood are practical they remove heat, I got no heat to remove in my trunk.

 

don't do it....so by the time my coupe is done it won't seem like I just do all the "trendy" stuff!!!!
