Nice so far guys. 53 Effie that 3 window already looks badass!

  2. And now it's even rougher than when you got it. What was once one piece is now two thanks to Mr. Sawzall.

    Dan,
That thing is rough. first thing I would do, is start doing mocking it up. See how things line up and get some ambition going.

  4. Yeah, I'd mock it up and paint the good parts green, and the bad parts red....you know "GO" and "STOP" :D

This one was pretty notorious in its day. Started with a body that nobody wanted, and ended up on the cover of Hot Rod.

  8. About 25 years ago this one sat behind my brother's garage.....rusted and beat to hell. It was free for the asking and nobody would take it. Then my friend Bobo, one of the members of our "Dorks 'R' Us" racing team, took it on. A few years later he had produced this one. It's a beauty !

This is Dick Lewis's car, and was built from a mismatched load of body panels, all from different cars, all in horrible condition. I wish I had a before photo, I don't think Dick took one. When it was all piled in his garage for the first time before he and Dallas Ewing started to piece it together it looked like a tin roof that had been stripped off a shed and discarded.

My 5W was "crushed" by a mattress. Does that count:D

  11. This stuff makes mine look pretty good. As the years have past, it has become a challenge to see what you can do. As long as you have the determination and time, almost anything is possible. There are no rules anymore and I like that.

Yep, a girl pulled out in front of him and stopped dead in his lane in a foreign econobox, bent it up pretty bad. That was before that photo.

You can click here to see a video of pictures from our rescue. We're quite a bit farther along now but it may offer some hope. Good luck

Heres my 5window ... It was missing the entire back half. What you see in the green primer is what was there. Someone made into a pick up is my guess. This is how it looks now :)

I want to bring this up, for reasons that are purely selfish.

By shortening the roof thru removing the rear doors and using roadster rear quarters, are you able to convert a 4-door into a 5 window, or does the rear roof-line differ too much for this to be noticeable?

    TIA
