For my first post I thought I'd post a couple before and after pics of a sand and spray job on a super solid F-1 that I finished up a few weeks ago. It's not completely apart and done like I would normally want to do a job, but the customer was happy with it and got what he wanted. It would be a perfect driver.

Tell me about it. If I would've had the money I would probably own it now. It runs and drives like a new one.

Very nicely done. Not all cars (trucks, rods) are show cars or even taken apart for paint. This is a pickup to be proud of and to drive.....not afraid to get rained on or a stone chip every so often. Again, nice job!!

The truck came out really good for a sand and spray! I wouldnt mind having it sit in my driveway I'll say that.......

Sorry if this sounds like an ignorant question (I don't know much about Ford trucks) - Is that grill original? That is one great looking grill in my opinion.

Great job man. Painting pickups takes twice the work, time, and materials as painting a car, lot of different surfaces and hard to get to areas to prep and shoot!! Check out the hood ornament on this beaty... looks like a front fender mascot off an Indian Motorcycle from the late 40's ??? You tell me.:D Good work again.

Judging from the tires, the farmer who bought that truck new still owns it, or his son does! He probably paid you more for that nice paint job than the truck cost new.
    Great job.

Thanks for all the compliments!!! The grille is original for the truck. I think they came either in an off white color or a satin silver. I mixed up a Mercedes silver and then used flattener in the clear on this one, but I thought it looked about right. The hood ornament is off an Indian but I don't know what year. It even lights up when you turn on the headlights.

No man you didn't miss any bondo pics. I didn't use any. The guy didn't want to pay to straighten it out. He just wanted some new paint on it because he is gonna have to keep it outside all the time.
