There are not enough words to describe it. Hope he has some kid or grandkid who will appreciate it and keep it in the family another generation or two. Gets my WOODY OF THE WEEK award!
Sighhhh, ifn it was a woman, I'd wash the dishes, and clean her terlit everyday! I just saw a 56 2 door post for sale in El Segundo today. Financial suicide crosses my mind..
I keep coming back to this car and admiring just how straight the paint is. Fantastic, makes mine look like it is made of corrugated iron.... Have to agree on the Nerf Bar as well. Seems out of place and context, detracts from what is otherwise a perfect looking car. Hats off to the owner, would still like to see it parked in my garage.... P.
What a beautiful g***er. I am sure most of them werent even close to that nice "back in the day" The nerf bar on the back was required by the rules in Gas cl*** if I am not mistaken so it is kind of a period correct deal. I am kind of biased about 55s though.
Rear PUSH bar is cool, I was talking about the front bumper/nerf bar....it would be better suited to be a towel bar at the pool.
I was gettin a big woody til the shot of the engine compartment. Kinda like walking up behind some good lookin bikini at the beach and then she turns around....AGH!! Needs some work there to clean it up a bit. But, the paint looks like you could put your hand in it. I love 55s and wish like hell I had mine back. Keep it up!! OH, how about some interior shots and maybe some more of that engine compartment and the rearend.
We had another big car show in Sioux falls, SD tonight, and the "TABOO" g***er '55 Chevy came out of hiding again. Here are some more shots to wet your whistle...
That thing is the ****! love the overall flavor, the nerf bar might be to satisfy some local front bumper law? If so and it is a necessary feature, IMO it would not stand out as much if it was flat black and not chrome. The only thing that really jumps out are those front shock absorbers, also could be flat black to lessen the impact. Man what a cool old field car!
Thanks for the photos. I'm in love with '55 Chevy's, and this one certainly is one hell of an awesome example!
