I'm thinking about a 1940 something and the grille guards look Mopar but it doesn't match any Mopars, Nashes, Studes, etc. that I could find pictures of. A '40 Chrysler is close but no cigar. It's toast but I love that grille! You can't see it on this picture but it is resting on the back of a '53 Merc 2 Dr. Hdtp. that looks to be pretty complete.

1941 Dodge - my Pop bought a new one before he went off to WW2 - first thing I remember riding in as a kid.

Sure enough. I must have skipped the '41 Dodge. I know I tried everything else from '39-'42 and '46 to '48 with no matches. Thanks!:D

IMHO, it's a Mopar, pre war. I've seen it, back in the day when it could have been a daily driver. 'Cause the Great Depression lasted a good bit of time longer here in an old cotton mill town than most other areas. I'm thinking '40-'41, possibly '42.

  11. Heck, a little Bondo in that roof dent and you're ready to cruise!!!

Thanks for posting these pics. I've never seen a '41 before- kinda neat in an "owly" sort of way...

Googled just about every American car I could think of without any luck. May be a 1946-48 vehicle Canadian built cars had different trim, hope someone can ID it.

I think it's been answered. Here's a shot of my Pop's car - showroom condition!

Neat looking cars. There is one just north of me sitting next to a repair shop. I always mean to stop in and ask about it. It would make a cool family car. (4 door)

Buy it as cheep as you can, jack the roof up to straighten cowl and whack the top off.Throw away the other hood half. Up date the drive train. Fab your own chopped windshield and cruz that ****er. Guaranteed you wont see another one like it. LOL.
