Indy to Detroit on Tuesday

I'm heading up to Allen Park on Tuesday with an empty 4x8 trailer if that helps anyone out? Or if you are coming from there to Indy anytime soon, I'll pay you to save me the trip.

Come a couple of days later and visit the Detroit Autorama.

 

I'd love to but Tuesdays and Thursdays are my only days off.

 

Ok, so come on Thursday and enjoy the move in process of the Autorama and being able to snap photos without big heads in the way. It actually is the best day of the event. By mid-day most displays are set up and ready to go.

Hell, if it makes it easier, come up on Wed night, spend the night, head to Allen Park Thursday morning, pick up what you need then head to Cobo, about 10 miles away. There will be trucks and trailers everywhere around Cobo so you'll blend right in. OR you could head to Cobo in the AM then Allen Park to pick up load then home.

 

Wow, after asking around it looks like I'm the ONLY one from Indy going to Detroit this week?

would you be willing to pick up an interior in indy and bring it with you i will pay you for your trouble im in metro det

 

yeah, I can help you with the interior I think. I've got some parts for Earl Scheib that I'm bringing up that way too so we'll see how much trailer I've got left.

 

man scoob, i have some stuff in lower ohio/northern ky that i need brought up right on your way...but no one seems to be doin' relays!

PM Josh Shaw(corngrower32) in Cinci and see if him of one of his posse are coming to Detroit for the Autorama and see if John can get it to Cinci for them. Josh can drop it at my place in Livonia for pickup.

i would love to go to the autorama, but alas like so many before me i got laid off so i have to watch spending for the time being. the lay off couldn't have come at a better time either a day after we just bought tickets for california lol...go figure

Josh or Bob, if anyone can get it to Dayton for the Ohio Meet and Great on the 14th, I'm running a motor from Stephen Fields home to my boys and maybe a rolling ch***is for a 53 Chevy truck so I'll have one trailer or the other. If I need to, I can bring my cherry picker to put it in the truck.

Scoob, I posted on the Relay board but you must not have seen it. I would have gotten the racer from Allen Park to at least Swanton, OH (Enjenjo's) but I didn't hear from you. I'll PM next time!

Looks like I might be running up there with some stuff for a couple of the fellas to drop off in a few places and then bring mine back. Looks like either thursday or possibly Friday depending on work.

Quick trip but fun! Wish I could have done more for folks along the way and then stopped by Autorama but I was pressed for time. Couple shots from the trip...
I forgot how much cool midcentury stuff is in Detroit! Great city for lots of things.
