40 Buick shock oil???????

    Just curious what to use to service the shocks on a 40 Buick. I don't imagine the AC Declo shock oil the manual calls out is still availble. I'm guessing AFT or hydraulic fliud?

    I'd use motorcycle fork oil.

    I got this from a website on these shocks one time, but I can't remember where. Anywho, their reccomendation was a 50/50 mix of hydraulic jack oil and STP Oil Treatment. I have been using that ever since and it has worked well...

    i have a 48 buick and i had them rebuilt at apple hyd. they said use regular hyd jack oil in them ......
