King of Clubs drag races @ Barona

Flyingclutchman told me about it.
I didn't see any posts about this (didn't want to repeat).
Actually I was wondering if anyone had more info (bands, beer), and who all might be going.
I'm heading out sunday, and thinking about running the 56 down the track. And bringing the camera. Maybe I'll tape it to the dash and hit the video mode
God damn. the flyer came out huge.

 

where's the Barona drag strip? I thought they only had a dirt track.

 

It's about 5 miles past the casino. It's fairly new, maybe a year old. 1/8 mile strip.

Did anyone go?
I had the family packed up. Looked at the thermometer in the Explorer 102 degrees and that was 20 miles west of the track. Musta been at least 105 out there. There was no way I was going to make my wife and kids (1,3 yrs) go thru that. Oh well, maybe next event won't be so hot.

pretty small turnout, but then again it was hotter than hell out there.
