I just finished wiring my headlights on the low beam circuit and the left side is not as bright as the right side. I did double check to make sure I didnt wire the right side on the high beam. The headlights are the same brand and part number. What would cause this? I know it seems basic and I rechecked my work but all appears ok.

  2. did you reverse them and see if it does the same thing??

Sounds like a bad ground on the dim light.

I would check the ground and see if any wires got pinched in the process.

Thanks I think I found it the ground wire is solidered to the headlamp housing the headlamp housing bolts to a bracket by carrage bolt. The bracket is a rusty peice of junk that was lying around and I think thats where the ground problem is. I'll clean it up and let ypu know, thanks.

I hope you find the problem. I'd also like to remind you nicely that you need to remember to get the lights properly aligned before you do any serious driving. Please. You can do it yourself with good results on the back of the garage door or take it to a good shop. Gary

It was the head light mount it's much better since I cleared back some of the rust, thanks Gary for the reminder I did plan on proper adjustment. I know what your saying it is most annoying when headlights are out of adjustment!
