    looks nice man always wanted to fab my own tube chassi. have done a cab back tube frame on a truck but never a full frame.

  7. No i havent.
    I can calculate forces on the components manually, but im mostly just using the software to get dimensions and asthetics.
    Heres another pic with a few more speed holes.

  8. Can you do the FEA and post an image of it, just to highlight to yourself and others where the stress points are. Or send me a solid file and will do it next week when I am back at work.
    Also, there is a rendering option, if you want to get really fancy do that :)

    solidworks will run the tests and give you real time images as the loads are applied. you just got tio setup some parameters, thats a great program, unigraphics is a good 3d model software as well, nice drawing btw.
     
  10. To those that know....What FEA software do you like is 'reasonably priced' for home or small business use?
