Just call me Andy. I've been into cars all of my life, and heard about this site from some guys where I usually hang out, the Yenko Supercar Club, of which I'm a member. My car was the feature of the month of Jan. '06. I started a thread over there about a garage find that I thought might be of interest to this crowd. Sometime this week we will be extracting a 1932 Ford 3 window sport coupe from a garage where it has been marinating since 1959. Untouched for 50 years, this is an unmolested example that still retains most of it's original parts. Check it out: http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/391155/page/1/fpart/all/vc/1 I'm not sure if I should start a new thread about this find here, but I promise I will be back to lurk and learn. Thanks Andy
Hey Andy, welcome and have fun! I would most definatly start a thread about that car here, nice find !!!
That make me sick! I have two vintage 60's cars and I am starting to really get into traditional 30's and 40's rods but I don't know where to begin. I read an article in Rod and Custom by a guy that said he had a $3,500 budget to start looking for a hi-boy and I can't believe that. Are these cars still out there for a reasonable amount of money? I don't want to get rid of my cars just yet but the old rods are wearing on me. Is it possible today to do an old rod on the cheap aside from a rat rod? Good luck.
I looks a little rough and since the parking permit is expired I'd say it's not worth wasting your time on. I'll take it off your hands
Neat story and a true find even if the owner knew all about it, the general population did not. Too bad it was allowed to deteriorate to the extent it has. There is going to be some MAJOR metal work to be done on that roof and cowl. The really sad thing is there are so few around today that can pull off those repairs in the metal finished manner the car deserves. It will be EXPENSIVE but if you want a real deuce 3w it could be worth the $$$$$'s. Either way it would be interesting to watch that one brought back. Post about what happens to the car if your privileged to watch it's rebuild. Frank
WOW, I didn't know Ohio had a naval base! What a great find. It is too bad it sat for so long, and that guy never got to drive his dream.
Not too long ago I came across a 39 Dodge that had rested in a barn till a flood washed the barn away revealing the car..It was across a creek no one could get to it There it sat..till some good soul rescued it..Congrats on your find..Perserverance pays off.May Henry Bless you..
This car will be restored! The new owner is Dave MGaffe, owner of Cl***ic Resurections restoration shop in Grove City, OH. Dave and his crew have brought back worse.
Hi Andy and wellcome! Please start a thread here!! My '32 is in same kind of state/shape so the support during the build would be great!! Or if the thread is somewhere else give us info....
