I was just reading this post: Pictures of 32s brought back from the dead??? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=336295 and was wondering if 4 doors are also worth bringing back from the dead. Is there as much demand for them? Reason being, I found one today in an old river bed along with the remains of a 27 coupe and an A Tudor. Sorry guys, I didn't have my camera as I've been there many times before and didn't ever see this so I wasn't prepared. Gotta see if I can get permission to drag it home
There has been a renewed interest in '32 Ford 4 door sedans lately so I'm sure it would be worth the effort. The T coupe is worth money even if it's wasted, anything resembling T coupe doors are valueable, and Model A shit is always trading hands too. Even if all 3 of these bodies are beyond repair, there is demand for parts. A dashboard, window garnishes, door hinges, roof sections and rear window panels from any of these cars would be valueable. If you can get permission (glad you're asking) you should bring back whatever is left of all 3 bodies. Once you get them out and get them home, post up pictures, it'll be easier to tell what's salvageable at that point.
I have a '32 4 door. Spent 10 years looking for it. Even if what you found is not worth recovering there are probably a lot of valuable parts. I think, but am not sure, that the doors can be used on a 5 window. You would be surprised how much a dome light is worth to the right person (there was a standard and a deluxe shape). Post some photos. Charlie Stephens
If ya dont get permission, you could always sell the location to a fellow HAMBer. I started the 32s back from the dead thread. And would be more than happy to drag it home!
There are a few guys that like them, This is a thread I started last year,,HRP http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277993&highlight=1932+doors
I recently traded a super Deuce Fordor body for a Brookville '32 RPU. The only thing I'd have traded my Fordor for was a Deuce roadster though. I love a Deuce Fordor. JH
Look at as parts if you think the whole body is rough, cowl, floor, doors, roof section, can sometimes sell for more than the whole body.
