A friend of mine just brought a 35, 3 window ford coupe, with a mustang II front, Is there a ford five stud disc rotor that will bolt straight on to the mustang II stubs and replace the four stud pattern. thanks
I'm almost sure some of the Mustang II's came with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt circle. But on a car that heavy, why not go ahead and put a big brake kit on it and kill two birds with one stone.
If you upgrade the brakes 11 inch rotors and GM calipers you can get the rotors in 5-4 1/2 or 5-4 3/4 I think they are granada rotors
I would recommend the ECI 11 inch rotor upgrade kit for the MII. The ECI is one of few that do not push your wheels out an extra inch or so. You can choose between the Ford or Chevy bolt patterns. (5 on 4.5 or 5 on 4.75, respectively). If you stay with the 9 inch rotors, mustand or pinto have a 5 bolt wheel, but with a 35 car 11 inch is much safer.
Granada Rotors, with just a bearing swap. I dunno if you can still buy the rotors new. You'll need the G.M. caliper and a caliper mounting bracket, you can buy them but i made my own.
Stock mustang II had 9 inch rotors. You can buy them from street rod shops as 5 bolt. If you go to 11 inch rotors, you will need an adapter to mount the caliper. Normally you can but the 'big brake kit' that includes everything for about $300. Doug
