Hot Rods Hiboy taillights...lets see yours for inspiration

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by NVRRDUNN, Feb 27, 2009.

  1. I'm down to putting the rear taillights on, but not sure what kind or where...looking for some good ideas....leaning toward some homemade short brackets off the back body crossmember (the one under the rear body panel) and using some 32 lights...but hey, still open to other ideas....can I see yours? I dont wanna use the 39's or the round 50 pontiac's that I see all over the place. Thanks for your support. :)

May not be what you're looking for, but it is a hiboy, and it does have taillights.

I like 37 Ford tail lights. I welded tubing to the t.l. housing, then a fender washer on the tubing for a body mount. Ran the wires thru the tubing.

I'm using a pair of 40 chevy p***enger car lights, turned sideways. The slanted angle of the lenses should be perfect for the slant of my panel below the decklid of my 34 coupe.

37's on a 33 look good to me. I made the stands to fit the car.

46-48 Ford on my 29--I think it widens the car--doesn't look so narrow.
