So many people try to be different for different sake and more time then not fall short. Here is an example of a car that is fairly common, powered by an engine that is fairly common, running on a chassis that is fairly common. But the fit and finish along with the restraint used all adds up to an extraordinary Hot Rod that memorable and beautiful.

Why reinvent the wheel when the wheel is so fucking cool to begin with. Tried and true formulas work and this coupe is evidence that their can be a thousand Model A's a parking lot and only a few if not just this one will shine. Originality though details and finish makes for some really fucking cool Traditional Hot Rods.

Super Duper Rad Coupe Mr. Casny!!!!

Awesome build Chris! I hope my coupe project turns out half as nice. I'm struggling with getting my coupe to fit on the deuce rails right now.

I was wondering if you could answer a question? I noticed that you cut the front of your subrails out. Did you replace them or tie them into your steering structure some how? I cut the front of my subrails out as well but I feel like the body is channeled too low on the rails now? I'm also curious to know what you did for the rear subrails- I didn't notice any pictures that showed them?

Nicest I've seen. Very tastefully done!

  13. I cut the subrails to clear the steering "hoop". Also there are some small tabs, that I cut out, alongside the body, that channeled the it over the frame about 1.25". To bring the body up, I made 1/2" wood (treated mahogany) body mounts to get a 3/4" channel. Looks just right to me and hides the usual gap between the body and frame.

I see, so you just left the end of the subrail off. Thanks for the info!

  16. Ok, the coupe is running and somewhat driving (within my shop), the nailhead sounds great, but I discovered that there is water in my exhaust. Time to pull the heads and see whats up tomorrow.
    Here is a little video.

Evel, you know how tasty that Coupe of yours is. I still love it and can't wait to see it again at the Roundup! The two of your coupes are like lessons from different schools on how to build a fucking Rad Model A Coupe.

Now the only question is who is going to walk who? Nailhead or Caddy?
